Refurbish or replace?

The upper casing and matching crossarm of this primary gyratory crusher were severely worn, making it impossible to achieve the required fit between them on-site. Instead of purchasing brand new castings, these parts were shipped to CMS Cepcor's repair facility in Colville, UK.

Upon arrival, our service engineers spent time welding them back to their original dimensions and machining them. This solution, including shipping costs, cost approximately one-third of the price of new castings.

If your crushing unit has spare old castings, perhaps this approach could be used to convert them into rotatable spare parts? It could save you significant costs on your next replacement.
